DN-X300 Helicopter-Scratch/Input Transform Modification
NOTE:

I did a quick video to show you the effect as well as a quick slide show on how to do the modification....

or you can follow these easy instructions.......
This modification will only affect Line 2 and Line 4 of your mixer. Meaning you will only be able to get that helicopter scratch sound if your CD player is hooked up to Line 2 or Line 4...
So first things first... take the top faceplate off and get to the input/transform switch and disconnect it from the mixer...be careful not to yank the connector too hard cuz you might break the pins...

Once you have the piece out, move the switch up and down and you will see that there is a metal tab that doesn't allow it to move the switch 1 more notch down...

To allow it to move down...take a knife or flathead screwdriver and CAREFULLY bend the tab up to allow the switch to move downwards..

That's it...now put everything back together and test it out....have fun!!
